The mobile app
We've rearranged the mobile app so every interaction feels clearer and more natural. The home screen has a new structure and navigation has been simplified so the most important things are always close at hand.
- Tasks now have a more prominent place on the home screen so nothing gets forgotten.
- The company page can now be found on the tab where your tasks previously lived, for quicker access to company information.
- News has a new design where only the latest item is shown on the home screen. You can easily browse all news or search for what you're looking for.
- Search for colleagues directly from the home screen.
- The holiday plan overview and hiring overview have a new design.
- You can also request time off directly from the holiday plan, this applies to the desktop version too.
- The tab previously called Company is now called Colleagues. Next to each employee you'll see their avatar, name, location, department and job title and you can get in touch with colleagues directly from here.
New actions in the mobile app
- Add education sessions
- Add documents
- Add competencies
Norwegian sick leave report for NAV
We're launching a file integration with NAV, making it possible for our Norwegian users to generate NAV's sick leave report directly from Hailey. It's an important but time-consuming task to fill in manually. With Hailey you pull the report in a couple of clicks, in the exact format NAV requires.
Before the report can be generated, you'll need to configure which absence types correspond to:
- Egenmelding
- Legemelding
- Fravær ved barns sykdom
- Andre typer permisjon
The report gives a detailed picture of sick leave per quarter and gender, and fully covers NAV's requirements.
GDPR data retention for recruitment
All retention options are now available for configuring how long personal data in recruitment is kept, plus a new option: six months. Each candidate's data is deleted automatically based on when they applied or were added manually.
The data covered by the retention policy is: name, contact details, answers to job application questions, uploaded files, notes, references and their contact details, assessments, and reference messages to the recruiter. Deletion is also reflected in the audit log, and a notice is shown on anonymised candidate profiles.
Template filtering in settings
If you manage an account with multiple legal entities or locations, you'll know how quickly the template list can grow. You can now filter across all templates in settings on every column. For example, filter by scope to quickly see exactly which templates belong to a particular organisational unit, without having to scroll through the entire list.
Reminder to answer questions before 1-2-1s
Well-prepared 1-2-1s are more valuable, but it's easy to forget to answer preparation questions in the busyness of the working day. If questions haven't been answered by the deadline, a reminder email is now sent automatically the following morning.
Manager's manager in salary approval principles
For organisations where salary changes always need an extra step up the hierarchy, there's now a new option: the manager's manager as approver.
Resend a signing link
Lost a signing link, or need to chase a signing that's got stuck? Anyone with edit permissions can now resend a signing link directly from a specific signing in HR Hub. This applies to the current signing step only.
Notification when a signing is complete
You can now be notified when a contract has been signed and is ready. Useful for anyone who needs to know when a contract has been signed by all parties. Set this up in the contract template you want it to apply to. The notified user receives an email with a direct link to the folder where the signed document has been uploaded on the employee's profile.
You can choose to notify:
- The employee the signing relates to
- The initiator, the person who sent out the signing
- The signing parties, everyone who has signed the contract
Reject a certificate with a comment
Has a certificate been uploaded with the wrong validity period or in the wrong format? In the task for verifying certificates, you can now handle this straight away by rejecting the certificate along with a comment. When rejected, the certificate is removed from the employee's profile and they automatically receive an email with the explanation and a link back to their profile to upload a new version.
Salary analysis metrics
We've been steadily adding salary analysis metrics that you can use in your own custom dashboards. The latest additions show:
- Monthly salary change: how much monthly salaries have changed over a given period.
- Median monthly salary: the median salary for a given date.
- Monthly cost of hourly salaries: converts hourly salaries to a monthly cost using the formula hourly rate × scope (hours/week) × 52 / 12.
New design for employments on the employee card
Employments on the employee card have a new look. We now show more information directly in the list for better context, and instead of expanding inline on the page, the full employment record opens in a modal when you want to see the details.
The edit options have been brought together inside the employment view under a action button. No permissions have changed or been removed, the editing has just found a new home.
The functionality and information is the same as before, just better structured and with an updated design.
Integrations
Hogia: Time off as periods
Hogia requires certain time off types (such as parental leave and leave of absence) to be sent as continuous periods in order to be calculated correctly. Previously we always sent time off day by day, but you can now configure which time off types should be exported as a period.
This only applies to time off with a scope in percentage. Time off registered in hours is still sent day by day.
Hailey's API: Get time
Want to integrate time reporting directly with your payroll or invoicing system? You can now retrieve all reported time via the open API, filtered by a date range you specify (in the same way as fetching time off data).
The end poi includes:
- Project time
- Employee ID
- Hours worked (reported and clocked in/out)
- Breaks
- Status (reported / approved)
New partner integrations to Hailey
More platforms are building integrations to Hailey, giving you even more ready-made solutions for syncing master data from Hailey to other systems. New this month:
- Timeplan (via Twine) is a workforce management system for scheduling, time clocking, and time reporting. The integration syncs employee data from Hailey to Timeplan — and can be set up to run in both directions. It runs via Twine, which requires a separate agreement to get started.
- Learnifier is a learning platform for onboarding, training, and skills development. The integration uses Hailey as the primary data source — so when someone is hired, changes role, gets a new manager, or leaves, Learnifier updates automatically in real time.
- Apprecio is an employee recognition platform. The integration syncs employee data from Hailey to Apprecio, so your people are set up and ready to go without any manual work.
- Palms is a people experience platform. The integration syncs employee and organisational data from Hailey to Palms, keeping structures and roles up to date as your organisation changes.
