Swedish Institute for Standards

What do an A4 sheet of paper, ISO 9000, and the code defining the exact colours of the Swedish flag have in common?

They’re all examples of standards developed with the help of the Swedish Institute for Standards (SIS). And we think that’s pretty amazing!

At Hailey HR, just like standards, our goal is to create consistent ways of working that make everyday work life smoother, simpler, and more efficient. Standards provide shared solutions to recurring challenges, so organisations don’t have to reinvent the wheel every time. This not only improves safety and quality but also boosts competitiveness in trade and export.

Standards drive smart and sustainable development

SIS is appointed by the Swedish government to represent the country in ISO and CEN. Together with thousands of experts, they develop standardised solutions that enhance Sweden’s competitiveness while contributing to smart and sustainable societal development. Their work spans diverse areas such as machinery safety, AI, biodiversity, and even menstrual products, enabling 1.8 billion women and girls to participate in society on equal terms—every single month.

Founded in 1922, SIS now has about 170 employees in Stockholm, including 20 managers.

We’re incredibly proud to have SIS as a customer and curious about their experience with implementing a forward-thinking, modern HR system.

User-friendliness in features and implementation

Eva Hallman, HR Coordinator at SIS, shares their journey with Hailey HR and what the implementation process has been like.

“To follow up on and secure our processes, we needed to organise our master data and consolidate it in one place alongside other important information. For us, user-friendliness and an intuitive interface were key, and Hailey’s functionality met our requirements perfectly,” Eva explains.

The system’s user-friendliness became evident early on, even for Eva, who joined the project midway:

“I actually joined the implementation halfway through, but it hasn’t been an issue because the system is so user-friendly. With a clear plan from the start, the process has been smooth.”

A clear project plan delivers great results

Eva reflects further on their experience with the implementation:

“The implementation has gone really smoothly. We formed an internal project group with a clear plan from the start, following both our internal procurement and implementation guidelines as well as Hailey’s project plan. We held regular meetings with our contact at Hailey, internal workshops, and worked with a pilot group to test and integrate all our processes into the system. We encountered some challenges that required us to rethink certain ways of working, but it’s been a valuable part of our organisation’s development.”

“Our contact at Hailey has been exceptional”

Eva wraps up with some kind words about their Customer Success Specialist, Cornelia:

“I’ve implemented many systems over the course of my career, but our contact at Hailey has been truly exceptional. Cornelia has been incredibly accommodating, knowledgeable, and quick to respond whenever we faced challenges.”
