We continue our work to implement useful and responsible AI in Hailey.
For us, useful AI means that the technology should always create real value by reducing manual processes and freeing up time for HR, managers, and employees.
Responsible AI means never forgetting that we operate in a field involving sensitive personal data.
Where are we today?
- All our AI models run on European-owned providers
- No data is used to train the models
- Generative AI helps create and edit content in several areas of the platform
Looking ahead
- We continue to implement generative AI where we see the greatest potential for saving time
- We’ve laid the foundation for agentic AI and are exploring areas we believe offer more opportunities for automation
AI Smart Fill – help with descriptions
In many parts of Hailey, you can add a short description to guide the end-user through the process, for example in workflows, 1-2-1 templates or surveys. But writing clear instructions can take time, and sometimes the task gets postponed.
With our new AI feature, Smart Fill, it’s easier. Click the AI icon and Hailey will generate a relevant description based on your process settings. It saves time and helps users understand what needs to be done. Can be used for descriptions of:
- Workflows
- Survey templates
- 1-2-1 templates
- Employee templates
- Hiring templates
This feature will be released soon! Stay tuned 👀
New rights for scoped roles and company roles
To improve security and precision with roles, we’ve introduced new rights for both scoped roles and company roles.
Scoped roles (meaning certain actions can only be performed on users within the defined scope of the role, such as a specific department or legal entity):
- Edit profile picture
- Remove employee
- View and edit competencies on the employee card
- Start workflows
- Terminate employee
- Send invitation to Hailey
- Edit approved time cycle
Company roles (permissions for managing organisation-wide settings):
- Create, edit and delete educations
- Manage all settings for time and time off

New in mobile ✨
One more update to the mobile app:
- Add and remove goals
Coming in the next release
Decimals for employment scope, hours/week and vacation days
You can now enter more precise values for employment scope, working hours per week and vacation days without limitations on the number of decimal places. This makes it easier to reflect real conditions, especially for time tracking, part-time roles, and integrations where precision is needed.
Examples:
A value like 37.55600000 is displayed as 37.556
A value like 40.00 is displayed as 40
Recruitment
Filter applications in the recruitment overview based on the candidate’s answers in the application form. This makes the recruitment process easier when specific requirements are critical for the role the candidate has applied for. You can filter based on the answers candidates have provided to:
- Yes/No questions
- Single-select questions
- Multiple-select questions
Integrations
Google Workspace
We’ve updated the integration with Google Workspace. A lot has happened behind the scenes, but the functionality remains intact.
- The structure of the integration now follows a standard pattern: Authorise, Reauthorise, Activate, Deactivate, Delete.
- Support for multiple GWS integrations, with the option to link to different legal entities and locations.
- More fields are synced: title, department, manager, location (location is only visible in the backend). Each field needs to be manually activated in the integration settings.
- Option to automatically deactivate users in GWS when they leave. This is manually activated in the integration settings.
Netvisor (coming soon)
With the Netvisor integration, employee and employment information is automatically updated from Hailey. Since Hailey is the master, fields in Netvisor are cleared if they lack values in Hailey, except for BIC, which Netvisor can generate from IBAN.
Fields that are synced:
- First and last name
- Personal identity number
- Date of birth (required if other personal identity number than FIN)
- Gender (required if other personal identity number than FIN)
- Company email
- Street address, postal code and city
- Start date
- End date
- Titles
- Employment type
- Scope
- Employment number
- IBAN
- Bic
If an employment is deleted in Hailey, it is also deleted in Netvisor. Note that Netvisor requires the employee to have at least one active employment. If the user enters an end reason in Netvisor, we leave it as is.
The sync only applies to the current employment. Historical changes are not synced, but history is built over time as new employments are added.
In case of sync errors, a daily email is sent to the administrator with information and a link to the affected employee.
Coming soon: updated 360 review
We are currently working on improving our 360 review, based on clear and consistent feedback from our users. The goal is to make the process more intuitive, flexible and easy to use, so that both managers and employees get even more value from their evaluations.
