Linkity
Update an employee's details or employment in Hailey, and it's automatically reflected in Linkity — and approved absences logged in Linkity are sent back to Hailey.
No more double entry for employee and absence data
Linkity is a Finnish workforce management platform for shift planning, time tracking and payroll. The Hailey integration is a standard feature in Linkity that keeps employee, employment and absence data in sync between the two systems. The integration consists of three independent modules — basic employee info, employment and salary data, and absences — which can be activated separately depending on what you need.

How the sync works
Employee and employment data flows only from Hailey to Linkity — Hailey is the source system, and changes made in Linkity to this data are not sent back. Absences work the other way: approved absences logged in Linkity are sent to Hailey, so they show up in Hailey's reports and views without double entry. The sync runs on a schedule, not in real time — updates take effect on the next scheduled run. An adjustable time window means retroactive changes are carried over automatically too.
Before activation
- An active Hailey account with an integration user and a generated API key, handed over to Linkity.
- Any custom fields used for employment data must be created manually in Hailey before they can be synced — the integration doesn't create them automatically.
- Field mappings for organization, cost center and absence types need to be agreed on and configured during setup.
- The integration is activated from Linkity's admin settings, where you also choose which of the three modules to use.
Data included
Basic employee info (Hailey → Linkity):
- First and last name
- Work email
- Employee number
- Date of birth and personal identity number
- Bank account IBAN and BIC
- Manager relationship (who reports to whom)
- Organization and cost center info from Hailey's structure
Employment and salary data (Hailey → Linkity):
- Employment start and end dates
- Monthly or hourly salary, including history (raises become their own employment periods)
- Employment scope (guaranteed hours and part-time percentage)
- Applicable collective agreement
- Personal salary supplement
- Benefits in kind: phone, car and housing benefit (plus age-group and code fields for car benefit)
- Hourly and monthly sick pay
Absences (Linkity → Hailey):
- Absence date
- Absence duration (approved minutes/hours)
- Absence reason/type per Hailey's classification
