From uncertainty to an everyday tool

Everyone wants to do more with AI, but many teams are still figuring out how.

One of the biggest challenges with AI is that it requires data, structure, and context. That's where Hailey is in a particularly strong position: we already have employee data, logic, and permissions management in one place.

To make AI genuinely useful, we're developing across three areas:

  • Contextual AI — such as smart summaries and content generation
  • Hailey MCP — for integrating with the wider world
  • CoPiloting with Peep — Hailey's AI chat

The goal is simple: save time by streamlining how you work, and gain faster insights by surfacing patterns in data you already have.

AI features in Hailey are included in the base price at no extra cost.

Security and data protection - How we build AI in Hailey

HR data is some of the most sensitive and valuable data in any organisation. Yet in most setups, it's scattered across multiple systems, out of date, and difficult to act on — which is a problem if you want AI to do anything meaningful with it. There's also understandable uncertainty around how data is handled once AI has access to it.

We know you're working with sensitive personal data. That's why every AI feature is built to European data protection standards:

Data stays with you: All data used or generated in Hailey remains within your account. We never use it to train external AI models.

European infrastructure: Your data is stored and processed within Europe, in full compliance with GDPR.

Role-based access control: AI follows the same permission rules that exist in Hailey. Nobody sees data they shouldn't have access to.

Human oversight: Any critical actions or changes always require human review and approval before they are made.

Built on your HR logic: AI works within the workflows and rules already configured in Hailey.

MCP - Connect Hailey to the AI tools you already use

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open protocol that has become the standard way for AI tools to connect to external applications and data. Think of it as a shared language between AI agents and the tools they need to work with. Rather than simply answering questions, agents can now act across your entire ecosystem of tools. And the Hailey MCP server is our step into that world.

The MCP server is built to let AI agents bring Hailey into your broader workflows, regardless of where you build them or which tools you prefer. That means HR data can become a natural part of processes like onboarding, workforce planning, or compliance, without anyone needing to manually pull reports or switch between systems.

Our first release is read-only and covers employee data. Write capabilities, additional data sources, and full agent support are all on the roadmap. The foundation is in place.

When you connect via the MCP server, access, structure, rules, and scope all come with it. The agent sees exactly what the connected user has access to in Hailey.
